The King’s Academy is located on 65 acres in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Founded in 1880, formerly known as Harrison-Chilhowee Baptist Academy, The King’s Academy has served generations of students in the pursuit of a biblically based, academically rigorous K3-12 education. While the heritage of The King’s Academy is rich and deep, it is my belief that our best days as an institution remain ahead of us as we seek to develop servant leaders who will change the world for Christ.
At the heart of all we do at TKA are three guiding principles; Faith, Family, Future. It is our desire that all that we do be done in the name of the Lord. Therefore, we unapologetically seek to develop the gifts and talents that the Lord has provided in each student. From weekly chapels, small groups, and a biblically based curriculum, our students are exposed to the love of Christ in all we do. Secondly, we champion the fact that we are a family rooted in a love for one another. It is our desire that every student feels loved and welcomed at TKA. Finally, our goal as an institution is to prepare our students for the future that the Lord has prepared for them. Therefore, we seek excellence in academics, athletics, fine arts, and extracurricular activities to be able to fully hone and sharpen students’ God-given gifts so they will find themselves prepared for the future.
